Campaign Platform :
Stockbridge Strong. Stockbridge Forward. This Slogan is the hallmark of the Arthur Christian candidacy for the Stockbridge City Council (At Large).
1) STRONG on Housing & Infrastructure - It is imperative that Stockbridge as a community, ensure that seniors & working families gain access to housing and specifically home improvement resources to better preserve our local neighborhoods. Additionally, Stockbridge must ensure that adequate funding is available for regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and replacement of outdated facilities.
2) STRONG on business development - the business community in Stockbridge thrives best when better access to capital is provided to help small businesses grow and remain competitive. Stockbridge must leverage its base of homes and retail markets along with its excellent proximity to interstates 675 and 75 to attract innovative and forward-thinking industries that will hire and train local residents for jobs now and in the future.
3) STRONG on Public Safety - Stockbridge must implement expanded police services and patrols to reduce the uptick in crimes. This must be accomplished either using the existing Henry County law enforcement services, or a new City of Stockbridge Police Department. We must use fact-based feasibility studies and healthy partnerships with local and state law enforcement agencies to determine the best ways to protect and serve all of our residents.
